Three Acts of Goodness School Tour

The Three Acts of Goodness Teacher’s Camp was held last May 21-24, 2015 at Fo Guang Shan Mabuhay Temple, Manila, Philippines. Participants were faculty members from Gelacio I. Yason Foundation Family Farm School in Oriental Mindoro. Their 4-day stay at the temple gave them the chance to delve deeper into the Three Acts of Goodness program and apply it to various real-life experiences especially in their school community. Workshops and seminar sessions were given by Monastics as well as Fo Guang Shan International Group (IG) Volunteers. Moreover, the teachers were introduced to meditation, tea ceremony, and flower arrangement activities in order to enhance their wisdom and to develop compassionate thoughts. As one of the main thrust of the camp, participants learned the basic knowledge about life education and how it’s implemented by the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Order. This paved the way for them to incorporate the Three Acts of Goodness in their school curriculum this coming academic year.
