Our Story

It is said that the most precious gift which God gave us is the power to communicate. In many instances wherein man cannot even express well his feelings, ideas and opinions, hence the need for him to undergo formal training in effective communications, be it spoken or written.

In today's culture, mass communication is a powerful force. Every aspect of human behavior is a potential subject for reporting purposes. It is for this reason that FEATI University offered the course, Mass Communication(2006).

Students taking Mass Communication in Feati University were taught about the various theories and ethics in journalism, broadcasting, advertising, as well as in-depth instructions in the specialized techniques essential for success in these complex fields of study.

Its objectives include the mastery and proficiency of communication skills, as it develops mass communicators who are liberally educated, socially responsible, professionally competent and morally upright individuals imbued with Christian values and dedicated to public service.

Objectives:
At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

1. manifest the ideals and characteristics of competent, judicious, and ethical journalists;

2. apply multimedia and bilingual awareness in broadcasting and journalism;

3. work as responsible media practitioners;

4. participate actively in a democratic society;

5. display leadership skills

6. show reflective thinking in investigating social issues as well as in considering many points of view.

7. use with dexterity the latest gadgets in communication as they interact with people from all walks of life;

8. exhibit their proficiency in speaking, writing, reading, and listening.

Vision
To produce competent, critical, ethical professionals who will uphold and practice free, responsible and world-class journalism (print, broadcast and online), broadcast programming, communication research and film and audiovisual communication.

With the objective, of helping develop free, responsible, and God-fearing citizenry equipped with social networking information skills required of media practitioners in this digital age.
