Last May 30, 2023, the NTC College Y Club in coordination with the NTC Community Development Center have conducted a Clean Up Drive entitled "𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗦𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗶𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻: 𝗔 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗽 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵".

Wear your sneakers and jerseys, snug your headbands, grip your pen and papers, prepare your mind, talents, and body, raise your flags, and throw yourself into the thrilling tornado of various competitions for this year, 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒. Join us as we celebrate togetherness through competition, resilience through adversity, and triumph through teamwork, from the loud cheers that reverberate over our field to the pounding rhythm of victory.

The competitions are divided into three categories; 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥, 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬, and they consist of numerous games that you can play as an individual or team. In recognition of the nation's hardworking Filipino labor force, May 1st is honored as "Araw ng mga Manggagawa" or Labor Day. Workers in the United States and Europe began to fight for better working conditions in the late 1800s, and eventually the movement spread to the Philippines, where Labor Day was first honored in 1903.

I hope that this day serves as a constant reminder of the difficulties, giving ups, and contributions that laborers have given to our country. Cheers!
