𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟲𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟵 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰.

The NHCP and its partners will host various commemorative activities at the Rizal National Monument, Rizal Park, Manila; the NHCP Museo ni Jose Rizal Fort Santiago in Intramuros, Manila; the NHCP - Museo ni Jose Rizal, Calamba in Calamba, Laguna; and the NHCP Museo ni Jose Rizal Dapitan in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte.

The NHCP and the Embassy of Brazil will unveil the "Mi Ultimo Adios" marker in Portuguese with the Intramuros Administration at the Fort Santiago, Manila. Meanwhile, the NHCP Museo ni Jose Rizal Fort Santiago will open a new exhibit entitled “Ako Si Rizal: A Contemporary Interpretation From Telesforo Alayon Sucgang’s Portrait of Rizal” in the afternoon.

Dr. Jose Rizal was a Filipino reformist and intellectual who was a leading figure in the development of a Philippine national identity in the late 19th century. He was executed by the Spanish colonial government in 1896 on allegations of being a leader during the Philippine Revolution. He is recognized as one of the Philippines’ National Heroes.
