𝐒𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐀

Kilala ng marami ang Epifanio de los Santos Avenue o EDSA bilang sentro ng trapik sa Maynila. Madalas itong laman ng balita at kwento ng araw-araw na hirap sa kalsada. Ngunit higit pa sa trapik, nakaukit dito ang isang makasaysayang alaala—ang EDSA People Power Revolution.

Ang EDSA Revolution ay sagisag ng pagkakaisa ng mga Pilipino na nagkapit-bisig at tumindig laban sa pang-aabuso ng kapangyarihan. Sa harap ng tangke at armas, pinili ng taumbayan ang mapayapang paninindigan. Ito ang naging susi sa paglaya mula sa pamahalaang mapang-api at tiwali.

Ngunit ang hamon ng kasaysayan ay hindi natatapos sa isang rebolusyon. Sa pagbabalik ng mga dating pinuno sa kapangyarihan, paalala ito na ang laban kontra pang-aabuso at korupsiyon ay patuloy. Hindi sapat ang minsang pagtindig; kailangan ang tuloy-tuloy na pagkilos, pag-alam, at pagiging mapanuri upang hindi na maulit ang nakaraan.

Tapang, tibay, at puso ang inialay ng milyong Pilipino para sa mas malayang bukas. Sa ika-40 taon ng People Power, marapat lamang na ating palalimin ang pag-unawa sa kasaysayan. Ang EDSA ay paalala na ang tunay na kapangyarihan ay nasa mamamayan—at tungkulin nating bantayan ito laban sa anumang anyo ng katiwalian.

The initiative, organized under the major courses 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, was part of the program’s three-year communication campaign entitled “𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲”. With the theme “𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲: 𝗞-𝗣𝗼𝗽 𝗫 𝗣-𝗣𝗼𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲,” the event raised awareness on 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, promoted eco-friendly practices, fostered collaboration among fan communities, and supported ongoing 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. 🌱

A similar event will be staged again this 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. With the theme ‘𝗣𝗔𝗪𝗲𝗿: 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲’, 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗺𝘀 will come together to celebrate 𝗞-𝗣𝗼𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣-𝗣𝗼𝗽 while addressing important issues on 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲. 🐶🐱🐾
