Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

Following the announcement of the Manila City Government, there will be no face-to-face classes for Senior High School today, Monday, August 17, 2026.

Classes will shift to Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) / Online Learning due to the expected heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

: Upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), I am ordering the suspension of classes from Kindergarten to Senior High School (SHS) in public and private schools on Monday, August 17, 2026, due to the southwest monsoon (habagat) expected to bring cloudy skies with intermittent light to moderate, at times heavy rainfall over the city.
