Our LABMAT co-investigators, Dr. Nuñez and Dr. Valinton, are part of the 1st International Conference of the Nano Society of the Philippines, which officially opened today, October 9, here at Mindanao State University, marking a milestone for the growing nanotechnology community in the country.

Day 1 featured distinguished speakers from Taiwan, Singapore, USA, and Philippines.

LABMAT is excited to welcome Belle and Ian from the UP College of Medicine. They are our new interns who will be working on a collab project with Dr. Flores of the Dept. of Biology, Dr. Quiming of the Natural Products and Peptidomics Lab, and Dr. Aganda of DOST-ITDI.

Dr. Nuñez was a keynote speaker during the 1st Manila International Research Conference last September 18, 2025 at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. He talked about LABMAT’s finished project with DOST-PCIEERD on surfactant-modified zeolites.
