It is our honor to announce that this year, the 2019 Ateneo-Philippine Team 🇵🇭 to the 16th Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot comes home as Sixteenth Finalist for Best Oral Team, placing in the Top 32 out of this year's 137 participating teams from all over the world. We are also thrilled to announce that Ms. Bianca Soriano and Mr. Andrew Rosales each received an Honourable Mention for Best Oral Advocate Award.

We would like to express our thanks to all our wonderful friends, colleagues, and arbitrators we had the privilege of meeting in Hong Kong — you have truly completed our unforgettable Vis experience. We look forward to seeing everyone again — wherever it may be —in the years to come. Please let any of us know, should you find yourself in Manila, and we will be more than happy to show you our home. We would also like to extend our gratitude to our sponsors, friends, family, and the Ateneo Society of International Law for all the help and support to the team. Lastly, to our intense but caring coaches, Atty. Kat Aguila and Atty. Rafael Cruz, we cannot thank you enough for everything you guys have done for us this Vis season.

The Ateneo-Philippine Vis team ended its 3rd AIAC Pre-Moot stint in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia against our friends from the Amity Law School Delhi in the Top 32 Rounds. It was such an exciting and fun Pre-Moot as we prepare for the Vis East in Hong Kong!

We are thrilled to announce that the Ateneo de Manila University Team has received an honorable mention for its Memorandum for Respondent! 🏆

This is a wonderful close to what has been a rollercoaster ride for Team Ateneo this Vis season. There are numerous people who were part of our journey and whom we must thank, but for now, we celebrate the team that wrote the winning memo. ⭐️🎉

The Philippine Consulate in Hong Kong always takes such good care of the team during the moot. We had a wonderful dinner last night with Consul General Antonio Morales, Deputy Consul General Deric Atienza and Attaché Cholo Nuere. Can’t beat good food (duck!!! 😋) and even better conversation! 🍴😊

Our final match in the general rounds was with the American University of Afghanistan. It was a fun match that both teams enjoyed thoroughly. ⭐️

Had a wonderful match with the team from University of International Business and Economics this afternoon. Three out of four pleadings in the general rounds - done! ✅

Met NALSAR University and this brilliant tribunal for a thrilling match earlier this afternoon. The Ateneo team makes great friends with the NALSAR team every year at Vis East. 😄

Had a great first match this morning with our new friends from National University of Singapore. On to the next! ➡️
