CHED awards safety seal certification to PWU

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) issued a Safety Seal to Philippine Women’s University (PWU) last September 23, 2022.

Its official seal number: CHEDSS-NCR-2022-00385.

Accreditors from the CHED Composite Team, including the representatives from the Department of Health (DOH) conducted two sets of on-site inspection to ascertain PWU's physical manifestation of health compliance.

Visits were done after PWU successfully submitted the documentary requirements with at least 33 sets of criteria and standards.

While this Safety Seal is a voluntary certification scheme, “there is a dire need to be compliant with the minimum public health standards during the pandemic, especially that PWU is already conducting blended learning - a mix of synchronous and in-person classes - this first trimester of academic year 2022-2023. Safe environment for our stakeholders is of prime importance during the pandemic,” PWU President Marco Alfredo Benitez emphasized.

The CHED will post on its official website or social media platforms the list of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) issued with Safety Seal, now will include PWU.

PWU’s Safety Seal Certification is valid until September 23, 2023.
