The Technological University of the Philippines ROTC Corps of Lady Sponsors proudly joined and participated in the NSTP General Orientation on 02 August 2026.
The orientation began with an invocation and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Afterwards, Prof. Reggie C. Campomanes, NSTP Director, addressed the assembly, presenting an overview of the training activities and unveiling the new mantra for the year, “Nurturing Students Towards Patriotism,” which reflects the program’s mission to shape disciplined, service‑oriented, and patriotic youth. To energize the crowd, Prof. Campomanes, together with the coordinators and trainers, led an engaging performance before formally introducing TUP school officials and NSTP trainers. Their presentations highlighted the distinct contributions of each NSTP component in molding responsible students. Adding vibrance, the ROTC Corps of Lady Sponsors, alongside the cadet officers, delivered a spirited dance number that brought excitement to the event.
During the event, LTC OMAR H HASSAN (ART) PA, Commandant, inspired the students with a message on discipline and patriotism, urging them to embrace service and commitment as they begin their NSTP journey. Mr. Jonathan L. Navarro, ROTC Coordinator, likewise encouraged students to join ROTC, emphasizing its role in fostering personal growth, discipline, and national service. The ROTC staff were then formally introduced, presenting the team who will guide and support cadets throughout their training. After the component orientations, TUP President Engr. Reynaldo P. Ramos, Ph.D., EnP, followed with a brief but meaningful address. He wished the students good luck, reminded them of NSTP’s importance in building leadership, discipline, civic responsibility, and love of country, and engaged the audience by asking questions with prizes for correct answers — creating a lively and encouraging atmosphere.
