It’s been a while since I last shared anything here. A few years ago, I quietly stepped away from coaching. It was a difficult decision, but one I made for personal and meaningful reasons. I thought I had closed that chapter of my life.

But today, something beautiful reminded me that our purpose never really leaves us—it just patiently waits for the right moment to return.

Let me take you back to a story that left a mark on my heart.

A few years ago, I was coaching a student who worked as a public nurse in the Philippines. Her life was far from easy. She would trek across mountains under the scorching heat, visiting remote communities where medical help was scarce. She was doing noble work—not for recognition, but out of deep commitment to serve.

Despite her financial struggles, she saved up just enough to take the course I offered. She was determined. She studied with whatever time and resources she had. No complaints, no excuses—just pure grit and faith. I remember how she would always say:
“I will become a UKRN.”

And she meant it.

Throughout her review, she faced challenge after challenge, but never gave up. She kept me updated with every small win—each passed exam, every step forward. As a coach, I made it my mission to keep encouraging her, to remind her of the dream she was chasing. I believed in her, just as she believed in herself.

Then life went quiet. We hadn’t spoken in almost a year.

Until today.

I received a message from her—and in it, she shared the news I’d been hoping to hear.

She made it. She is now a UK Registered Nurse.

Reading her message stunned me. It moved me to tears. She didn’t just pass an exam—she fulfilled a promise she made to herself. And what touched me even more? She still remembered to say thank you.

In that moment, everything came full circle. The long hours, the quiet sacrifices, the days I doubted whether I was still making an impact—they all made sense again.

To my former student: You did it. You made us all proud. And you reminded me of the reason I became a coach in the first place.

This is more than just her victory—it’s a reminder to all of us:

🌟 No dream is too far when your heart is set on fire.
🌟 Every step, no matter how small, leads to something greater.
🌟 And sometimes, our greatest impact comes long after we think we’ve walked away.

OET SPEAKING TIPS PART 1: HOW TO SAY SORRY IN DIFFERENT WAY.

I apologize. I was out of line.

A few years ago, I was just like you, dreaming and working hard to achieve my desired grade in OET. For having zero knowledge of OET, I enrolled in a review center and paid almost 15,000 pesos. Unfortunately, I found the lessons unsatisfactory as they didn't address all the questions in my mind to pass the OET. This made me wonder, "What if Filipino nurses also enrolled in such review centers? How would they benefit from the payment they give, earned through their hard work?" That's when I decided to start OET Online Academy. Before launching it, I diligently studied the five books of OET, addressing all the questions that lingered from my previous center. The photo below captures the exact setup I had during that time. While I didn't initially have a passion for teaching, my perspective changed because I genuinely care for my fellow Filipino nurses. I didn't want them to waste their hard-earned money like I did. That motivation drove me to keep pushing and helping other nurses achieve their goals thru coaching them in OET. A few months ago, I announced my decision to step away from my career. I received messages from former students asking why. My response was simple: "I no longer have the motivation” Despite continued inquiries from potential enrollees, I declined. Recently, while browsing through my old photos, I came across the one below. It dawned on me that I was born to help others. Now, are you still interested in embarking on this journey with me? A Grateful Farewell to My OET Coaching Journey

Dear OET Community,

As I pen down this message, a flood of emotions overwhelms me, for it marks the end of a chapter that has been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. For the past six years, I have had the privilege of being your OET coach, guiding and witnessing your journeys towards linguistic excellence and professional success.

The countless hours spent together, the shared triumphs, and the individual victories have etched indelible memories in the canvas of my career. Each one of you, with your unique aspirations and challenges, has contributed to the rich tapestry of experiences that I will carry forward with me.

Our shared pursuit of mastery over the English language, particularly in the context of healthcare, has been a journey marked by dedication, perseverance, and the unwavering belief that effective communication is at the heart of compassionate healthcare delivery.
