Lilac Hosalla Schonberg as one of the 100 Global Filipino Entrepreneurs for her outstanding contributions to educational innovation, robotics, and autism advocacy. Through her pioneering work in mechatronics and STEM education, she continues to create transformative opportunities for children and families across the UAE and beyond.

Based in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Schonberg is a mechatronic robotics engineer, educator, and advocate recognized as one of the Middle East’s leading education influencers and known as “Asia’s Distinctive Mechatronic Robotic Engineer.” A graduate of Psychology and Special Education with advanced studies in artificial intelligence and mechatronics, she has dedicated her career to bridging technology and education to create meaningful impact.

Through her work with Qiwi Innovative Education Group and her specialist support center in the UAE, she has pioneered the use of robotics as a therapeutic and educational tool for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Her robotics programs are designed to support the development of social skills, communication, emotional regulation, and cognitive abilities, while her free developmental assessments provide valuable support to families seeking guidance and intervention.

Dr. Schonberg is recognized for advancing STEM education and for developing robotics curricula that align with major regional space education initiatives, including Mission to Mars and Hope Probe learning programs.
