๐๐. ๐๐๐ ๐๐. ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ | The Winning Answer That Resonated Within Hundreds
When Judge Clyvine Urvano asked the destined question, โYouth leaders today are expected to inspire change in social media spaces. How can you use your scientific knowledge and platform to create inclusive and community-driven solutions?โ
Auleli Fernandez had one thing in mind: to inspire.
In true Untamed Panther fashion, Auleli had just returned from a research defense about farmersโ nutrition not even three days ago. Some would back down. Some would give up. But noโnever Auleli.
Instead, something had ignited inside her.
โThrough this experience, I was able to understand that the most vulnerable communities are constantly suffering from hunger and malnutrition,โ she narrated.
She carries this fire in hopes of lighting another person's torch.
โI am standing here not only as one, but as 369 Nutrition-Dietetics students fighting for the cause of hunger and malnutrition. And I invite the whole College of Science community to also utilize your platform and knowledge in order to translate meaningful solutions that are impactful in our country.โ
With conviction echoing through every corner of the hall, she delivered a striking reminder of what young scientists can achieve when intellect meets empathy.
โBecause I know that as we converge across sciences, we can champion a vision that is sustainable, healthier, and inclusive for all.โ

๐๐. ๐๐๐ ๐๐. ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ | A Vision for the Nation Against Misinformation
With cold hands, everyone in the vicinity of Bulwagang Balagtas whispered prayers with their eyes closed. Hearts were beating faster than they should. Tension was high. But the King Panther?
โI donโt feel any pressure right now.โ
Those were the first few words Bench Salas spoke into the microphone during the Q&A portion of the pageant.
Right after, Judge Clyvine Urvano threw a heavy question his way: As a College of Science student, how can you use science communication to combat misinformation and encourage the public to participate in the Sustainable Development Goals?
Bench didn't skip a beat.
โAs a young scientist studying in PUP Manila, I believe we have always been taught to look for factual information whenever we do laboratory tests and activities,โ he shared, grounding his answer in the reality of a true student-scientist.
He reminded everyone that this rigorous training isn't meant to stay hidden in academic reports. Instead, it is a tool meant to be shared, starting within the university and extending to the communities that need it most.
It was an answer that went beyond personal ambition, as he connected his heart to the core values of the university and to the nation where he was born and raised.
โIf we uphold these values, then definitely, the Philippines can progress better.โ
