𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙡𝙚 | Where do “broken” doctors go?

More often, people go to clinics to have themselves checked when symptoms arise, mostly after searching the internet for these “red flags” and causing panic. Doctors are at the door of the emergency room ready to receive patients who came in with various complaints, even, at times, not really medically-related.

Technically, there is a doctor for every illness of the mind and body. But when doctors hit a point in their lives, feeling lost, insecure, irrelevant, exhausted and exploited, where do they go to ask for help? Would there be someone to hear their whispered soliloquy and bat an eye on them?" doctors go?

𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆 | The College of Medicine secured the 2nd place in the Philippine Society of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology Inter-school Pharmacology Quiz Bee held on February 29, 2024.

The PLM-CM Community congratulates the third-year representatives, Czarina Mikaela Benoza and Venice Camille Patricio, and the second-year representatives, Jose Alfonso Cantor and Jerico Mhar Bolaños — their efforts were truly not in vain.

The echoes of nostalgia and the warmth of reconnection filled the air yesterday. A diverse assembly of PLM alumni, spanning across generations, converged at the event to celebrate the enduring legacy of their alma mater.

As the night unfolded, it became evident that the 40th Founding Anniversary and Homecoming was not just an event—it was a heartwarming reunion, rekindling bonds, and solidifying the collective pride that unites PLM graduates.

𝓘𝓷 𝓜𝓮𝓶𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓪𝓶: Dr. Eustaqia T. Acevado

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a distinguished and beloved member of our faculty, Dr. Eustaqia T. Acevado, who departed this world on December 1, 2023. Dr. Acevado's life was one marked by a profound dedication to scholarship, compassion, and the betterment of the human condition.

The final farewell for the late Dr. Acevado will take place at St. Gabriel's Hall, Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish, located on Bougainville Road in Sun Valley Subdivision, Paranaque. On December 8, 2023, a Funeral Mass and Eulogy will be held to honor and remember her extraordinary life.

Following the solemn ceremony, a poignant chapter will unfold as Dr. Acevado is cremated from 3 PM onwards on the same day at Loyola Memorial Park Sucat, Paranaque. This serene setting will serve as the backdrop for a respectful and heartfelt conclusion to a life that touched many, offering a space for remembrance, reflection, and a collective celebration of the indelible legacy left behind by Dr. Eustaqia T. Acevado.

𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆 | The PLE takers from PLM College of Medicine have gathered for a Holy Mass Celebration, a solemn event held in preparation for the upcoming Physician Licensure Exam scheduled this October.

In preparation of the upcoming Physicians Licensure Examination (PLE) this October 20, 21, 27 and 28, 2023, join us as we celebrate a Holy Mass for the intention of the PLE takers at PLM Chapel (Shrine of Jesus the Divine Teacher) from 12nn to 1:00pm. This is a thanksgiving and blessing mass for the exam takers. We unite in prayer to wish them success.

Dr. Diokno was not just an educator but also a mentor, a source of wisdom to his students and trainees, and especially, a friend to many. His passion for teaching and his unwavering dedication to his field of expertise left an indelible mark on his students and colleagues alike.

The cremation is scheduled on September 17, 2023. His wake is at Acacia Chapel La Funeraria Paz-Sucat, second floor of the Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Parañaque.

NEWS FLASH: PLM College of Medicine hosted this month's flag raising ceremony held at the University Activity Center on September 4, 2023. Faculty and students from the college led the ceremony in prayer, singing and oaths. Heralds, the official chorale group of the college, led the singing of the national anthem and conducted for the university hymns. Heralds also serenaded the crowd with a song to warm the hearts of everyone despite the cold weather and light rain.

The dean, Dr. Rose Anna R. Banal, gave a message and introduced the esteemed faculty and administrative staff of the college.
