My debutante used to be the little girl who’d ask me to put the straw in her juice box and to tear open the packaging of her snack back in kindergarten.

I had the honor to watch her grow into a smart and confident young woman from afar, thanks to social media. But I never thought we'd see each other again.

Just a few weeks back, Sam’s mom sent me a message to ask if I still host. I remember asking, “For what event?”

So when I learned it was for Sam’s 18th birthday, I was thrilled and said yes right away!

This event was such a full-circle moment for me. From Sam’s kindergarten teacher to her debut host—what an incredible opportunity this was! Thanks again to Sam’s parents, Neil and Hazel, for the trust. 💖
