Today is a special day for us Thomasians, as August 18th marks the feast day of Blessed Mannes de Guzman. Blessed Mannes was one of the earliest followers of his brother, St. Dominic de Guzman.
Blessed Mannes was recognized for his humility and self-sacrifice, dedicating his life to preaching the Gospel and seeking the salvation of souls. He joined the Dominican Order, where he became known as a passionate preacher, living virtuously with meekness, humility, and kindness.
As Thomasians let us continue to be inspired by him. Let us take time today to reflect to be the best version of ourselves.

Today, June 17, 2024, we celebrate Eid al-Adha.
Eid al-Adha originates from a passage wherein Ibrahim believed that he received a message from Allah, asking him to be obedient and sacrifice his son. There were temptations from the devil; however, as Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, Allah gave him a lamb to sacrifice instead.
This is a festival of sacrifice, given to commemorate devotion, and commitment. May all the Muslims have a time to pray, reflect, and be thankful.
Happy Eid al-Adha! ๐
