JCI Manila - Handog Lingap 2013

JCI Manila - Handog Lingap 2013 Handog Lingap, which started in the 1980's, is JCI-Manila's annual socio-civic activity for children with special needs.

Last year, the Department of Education, Lozada Swimming School, Marc Nelson, Rovilson Fernandez and the office of the Mayor of Manila were our main partners who taught the children how to swim. This year, we are going to be treating these children to a day of fun and learning in Manila Ocean Park. Over 700-800 kids from DECS Manila's SPED (Special Education) mostly deaf, mute & with down-syndrome

from public schools across Manila, will be given a special day where they can discover the wonders of the ocean up close and personal. They will be able to interact with some of the animals that live in the world’s oceans and open their eyes to a world that they would normally only see in books. We will also be conducting arts and crafts activities as well as dance competitions. Details of the event are as follows:

Date: February 24, 2013 (Sunday)
Time: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Location: Manila Ocean Park, Luneta Park, Manila
Activities: Oceanarium,
Marine Life Show
Arts, dancing and more! This is one of the ways JCI-Manila gives back to the community and makes an impact in the lives of the citizens. This occasion will bring love, joy, and learning to the children, which they can bring with them throughout their lives.
