Thomasian Laboratory Personnel, join our Laboratory Safety Seminar (Chemical Safety Seminar and Basic First Aid Training) and learn how to keep your workplace safe and compliant with proper lab practices.

1. Identify common hazardous chemicals and understand their potential effects on health
and the environment leading to regulatory compliance
2. Understand the Safety Data Sheets to assess and manage the hazards associated
with chemicals in the workplace;
3. Be GHS compliant in safe handling and storage requirements of chemicals;
4. Respond to chemical spills and use spill containment kits effectively
5. Assess and assist a collapsed, injured, or unresponsive person
6. Control foreign body airway obstructions
7. Apply first aid for common injuries and medical conditions, including bleeding, burns,
puncture, fractures, and poisoning
