The 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬, in collaboration with the Department of Biology, successfully conducted the seminar-workshop entitled “𝑹 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚? 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑹 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈” as part of the 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐈𝐧-𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐓) activities for faculty members. The activity was held on June 6, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the BA Multimedia Room.

The seminar-workshop provided faculty participants with an introduction to 𝐑 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠, a widely used programming language for statistical computing, data analysis, and visualization. The activity aimed to strengthen the participants’ research capabilities by equipping them with practical knowledge and skills that may be applied in scientific research, data processing, and classroom instruction.

The session was facilitated by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐌. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐳, faculty member of the Department of Biology. The participants were guided in exploring the basic features and applications of R programming, particularly in handling and analyzing research data.

The activity also served as an avenue for interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty members from the two departments.
