ANNOUNCEMENT: FACE-TO-FACE Classes in all PUBLIC SCHOOLS in elementary and high school, as well as in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) and Universidad de Manila (UDM) tomorrow, Monday, May 6, 2024 are suspended due to extreme heat index forecast. Said public schools are directed to adapt ANY ALTERNATIVE MODE OF LEARNING as it may deem appropriate.

Suspension of face-to-face classes for private schools in all levels, as well as national public institutions of higher education, shall be left to the discretion of their school administration. However, we encourage all schools to implement any alternative mode of learning as it may also deem appropriate.

This is due to the forecasted DANGER heat index of 43°C according to the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.

A Parents-Teachers Meeting and Card Distribution for Grades 11 and 12 took place.

Congratulations to Ignacio B. Villamor Senior High School for their outstanding achievement in being awarded the Most Engaged Institutional Partner (IPDU) - Gold in the Saint Benilde Romancon Community Engagement Award held by [De La Salle-College Of Saint] Benilde Center for Social Action that happened on 12th of April 2024.

Our partnership with Benildean Community (Benilde Center for Social Action) has been a catalyst for school’s growth and progress.

Together, we can achieve remarkable milestones. Thank you for being a visionary partner, Benilde Center for Social Action.

ADVISORY

7 April 2024 - In order to allow learners to complete pending assignments, projects and other requirements, all public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on Monday, 8 April 2024.

Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their stations.

Finally, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.

HAPPENING NOW: DEPED’s Pilot Testing of Computer-Based Assessment for Grade 11 students at Ignacio B. Villamor High School (SHS).

This activity was spearheaded by the Deped Central office officials and facilitated by Dr. Dante A. Felizardo, school head, Ms. Mary Grace Beatriz Lumbang, ICT Coordinator, Mr. Aljohn Cueva, Grade 11 Chairman, Ms. Donnabel Petonio, Gr. 11 Guidance Teacher, Mrs. Camille Lariosa, Master Teacher, and Ms. Melissa Victoria, School Testing Coordinator.
