Requirements for applicants:
(A) Age: 20-35 years old (either male or female)
(B) Applicant must be single
(C) College Graduate
(D) Physically and mentally fit
When and where:
(A) Three-month boarding, May 1 - July 31 2025
(B) Venue: Fo Guang Sha

Program activities:
(A) Professional training: Introduction to Buddhism and its core teachings, Reading and understanding Buddhist scriptures (sutras), Buddhist tales and stories (Chan stories), Cultural and language classes (Mandarin), History of Fo Guang Shan, Buddhist etiquette, Attitude of eminent monks. (B) Spiritual training: Monastic life experience (chanting, Dharma services), Daily meditation, Calligraphy and Arts, Charity work, Field trips, etc. (C) Physical training: Tai-Chi or Tai-Chi Fan classes, Fo Guang exercises, Gym. (D) Chores: Communal works, Gardening, Cooking, Meal service. (E) Nutrition: Vegetarian meals ONLY! Procedure:
(A) Candidate must submit an application and photocopy (preferable scanned) of passport. (B) All submitted applications will be screened and assessed by the organizer. (C) Selected and successful applicants will be notified with the schedules for interview. (D) The deadline for submission of applications - 31 March 2025
