College students may have two more months to enjoy their summer vacation! 🌞
The Comission on Higher Education has officially ordered to move the school opening to August starting Academic Year 2019-2020.
The main reason for the move is the “special provision” in the 2019 General Appropriations Act citing the “CHEd should synchronize” the academic calendar to August for all state universities and colleges, and all local universities and colleges.

PUBLIC ADVISORY. Klase sa Maynila, sinuspinde ni Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada; mga gusali, pina-iinspeksyon.
Matapos ang rekomendasyon ni Manila Risk Reduction Management Office Chief Col. Felix Abad na magsagawa ng inspeksyon sa mga gusali ng mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan dahil sa nangyaring lindol, sinuspinde ni Mayor Erap ang klase sa lahat ng antas ng pag-aaral, kasama na ang mga summer classes, remedial class bukas, Abril 23, 2019.
Higit sa ano pa man, gusto ni Mayor Erap na matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga estduyante sa panganib ng aftetshocks at posibleng danyos na nagawa ng lindol.
Pinag-utos na rin ni Mayor Erap sa City Engineering officials ang pag-inspeksyon sa mga pasilidad ng pamahalaang lokal kabilang ang city hall, sports complex, health centers at 6 city hospitals.
Nanawagan din si Mayor Erap ng sama-samang panalangin para sa kaligtasan ng lahat ng mga mamamayan. # #

JUST IN: CHED Chairman J. Prospero De Vera III confirmed that all State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) were enjoined to move their academic calendars to August beginning this Academic Year (AY) 2019-2020. | via Ina Hernando-Malipot
