The PUP Physics Society is pleased to announce the official guidelines for the upcoming Junior Board Election. The voting will be conducted online, with a link provided on the first day of the election period on September 9, 2024. This is your opportunity, as students, to support our candidates as they demonstrate their leadership for the future of our physics community.

All voters must use their PUP Webmail to access the voting link, as the election will be held through MS Teams Forms. The voting form will open at 8:00 AM on September 9 and close at 8:00 AM on September 10. Voters are encouraged to participate by filling in the required fields and providing their responses.

A minimum of 51% of the PUP Physics Society's members must vote for the election results to be valid. Every member has the right to choose to vote or not to vote for a candidate.

The results of the Junior Board election will be announced on September 11, 2024, in the PUP BS Physics Community group. Stay tuned for more future updates!

Today isn't just about indulging in the deliciousness of pie, but it's also a cosmic celebration of numbers and the brilliant minds who've shaped our understanding of the universe. 🌌

On this special day, we pay tribute to the legendary 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐄𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧, whose date of birth falls on March 14th. Generations of scientists have been inspired by Einstein's revolutionary theories, such as his theory of relativity, that paved the way for modern science. As well as winning the Nobel Prize in 1921 for his discovery of the photoelectric effect.

But that's not all—March 14th holds even more significance. It's the day we remember the extraordinary 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐰𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, a true visionary in cosmology. Despite his physical challenges, Hawking's intellect soared to new heights, unlocking the secrets of black holes and origins of the cosmos from some of his best-selling books, "Theory of Everything" and "A Brief History of Time: From the Big Bang to Black Holes".

And why is March 14th also 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲? It's because mathematics is the universal language that Einstein, Hawking, and countless others have used to decode the mysteries of our universe. From the tiniest particles to the vast expanses of space, mathematics is the key that unlocks it all.

Today, let's embrace the wonders of numbers and the universe they unveil! ✨
