A win for the alternative education program! 🎓
Filipinos can now earn degrees without going through the traditional schooling methods after President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. signed the Republic Act No. 12124 or Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEAAP) Act on Wednesday, March 5.
The ETEEAP will identify, assess, validate, and assign equivalent undergraduate-level and special graduate programs of prior learning from formal, non-formal, and informal learning systems and relevant work experiences to qualified individuals for the grant of appropriate academic degrees.
Filipino citizens who are 23 years old at the time of application, whether residing in the Philippines or abroad, may apply for equivalency and accreditation if they satisfy the requirements. Applicants should also have completed a secondary school program or at least has evidence that they are eligible to enter college.
