The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) proudly presents its accomplishment report for January 2025. This document highlights the achievements, activities, and milestones reached by the college during the month, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence, student development, and industry collaboration.
• RESEARCH and Innovations:
Hosted faculty development seminar-workshop on research entitled “Innovative Research and Publication: Empowering Teachers for Academic Excellence," ” attended by 30 faculty members.
• CURRICULUM:
Implemented the enhanced curriculum for the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management programs, integrating new industry trends and sustainability practices.
• Opening of AMANG CAFÉ by CHTM specifically designed for the Hospitality and Tourism students. This café will serve as a dynamic hub where students can refine their skills, experiment with innovative culinary and baking techniques and engage in practical learning experiences
• STUDENTS ACTIVITIES AND ENGAGEMENTS:
17th Founding Anniversary (CHTM WEEK) with the theme: Travel Through Time and beyond. Celebrating 17 years of Hospitality and Tourism Memories and Milestone. This activity showcasing the different skills of students.
• EARIST 80th Founding Anniversary- Awarded as the BEST COLLEGE AND BEST EXHIBIT
• CHTM Community Engagement and Extension Programs:
Conducted the First ever EARIST CHTM EXTENSION CUPCAKE DECORATING CONTEST w/ the adopted Barangays 634, 635, & 636
• Industry Partnership and Collaborations: BSHM and BSTM 4TH year students attended HOTEL IMMERSION (Stay and Learn Program) in Novotel, providing students an insights about the upcoming on the job training and opportunities in top hotels, restaurants, and travel agencies.

CHTM aims to continue elevating the standards of hospitality and tourism education while preparing students to become future industry leaders.

The achievements are a testament to the talent and passion of the Dean headed by Dr. Maria Rhoda D. Dinaga, Dept. Heads Dr. Loida R. Banzuelo & Prof. Perlita M. Mallari, faculty, students and alumni. The creativity and innovation showcased in the exhibit were truly inspiring, setting a standard of excellence for others to follow.

The College of Hospitality & Tourism Management, successfully conducted an impactful extension program entitled "Wildlife Wanders: Empowering Tour Guides at Public Bureau-Manila Zoo" last December 13, 2024. This activity aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of tour guides working at the Manila Zoo, equipping them with tools to provide more engaging, informative, and responsible wildlife tours.

The CHTM Extension Program is proud to continue its commitment to community development and educational outreach, and this program reflects our ongoing effort to improve the quality of tourism and hospitality services within local communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants, trainers, and partners who contributed to the success of this enriching initiative. Together, we are making strides toward a more informed and conscientious society.

This remarkable achievement reflects your dedication, expertise, and passion for your field. Your presentation has not only brought pride to our community but also served as an inspiration to many.

Today ,September 30, 2024, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the EARIST Extension Program of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) and Public Recreations Bureau (PRB) was officially signed between the City Government of Manila, represented by Hon. Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna , and Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) ,President Rogelio T. Mamaradlo and witnessed by Hon. Vice Mayor Yul Servo , Director Roland F. Marino of Public Recreations Bureau , Dr. Eriberto A. Astorga, Jr, Director of EARIST Extension & Community, Dr. Maria Rhoda D. Dinaga, Dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, CHTM Faculty & Students and Public Recreations Bureau personnels.
The signing of this Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Manila and EARIST signifies a commitment to community enrichment and development through education and public service. By engaging students and local communities in tourism and hospitality-related projects, this collaboration aims to foster a stronger sense of civic responsibility, elevate public recreational standards, and promote sustainable tourism in the city.

Congratulations EARIST-CHTM on achieving the BSHM Level 4 Phase 2 AACCUP Accreditation!

This is a testament to our hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Our efforts have truly paid off, and this milestone reflects the high standards and quality we consistently uphold.

This achievement was possible because of the hard work, determination and dedication of our College Dean – Dr. Maria Rhoda D. Dinaga, BSHM Department Head– Dr. Loida R. Banzuelo and Dr. Jeffrey Villena, Dr. Joselito Mabansag, Mrs. Perlita Mallari , esteemed faculty members and also to the administration headed by our President Dr. Rogelio T. Mamaradlo.

Our collaborative efforts in achieving this excellent goal is a testament that we can achieve more as a team. We are always beyond grateful and thankful to the different offices who have supported and contributed in one way or another because we cannot do this alone. Their assistance makes this possible and we appreciate all their hard works.

Again, congratulations College of Hospitality and Tourism Management for this achievement. This is a testament that in EARIST we can achieve more.
