With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Prof. Rosalinda Solevilla, former Dean of the UST Faculty of Pharmacy. Her exceptional leadership, wisdom, and dedication to the field of pharmacy, medical technology, and biochemistry education have left an indelible mark on the Thomasian community. Her unwavering dedication and profound contributions shaped the lives of countless students and colleagues, and her legacy of excellence and compassion will forever remain in our hearts.
Solevilla has four degrees: bachelor’s degrees in Pharmacy (1957) and Medical Technology (1965), a master’s degree in Pharmacology (1980), and a doctorate in Pharmacy (1995). A topnotcher in the Pharmacy board exams, she was exempted in the 1965 Medical Technology board exams because of her performance in the previous board exam.
Her legacy as a former dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy concretized its leading role in pharmacy, medical technology, and biochemistry education in the country.
We enjoin the Faculty of Pharmacy's administrators, academic staff, support personnel, students, and alumni, as well as the entire Thomasian community, to pray for her eternal repose.
Eternal rest grant unto Prof. Solevilla, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
