Today marks the 128th anniversary of Jose Rizal's death. Rizal is one of the many people who strived to awaken the Filipinos' consciousness against the colonizers. His ex*****on sparked the flames of revolution and the fight for equality and freedom.
As we commemorate , let us be inspired as journalists to use our ideas and pens as weapons to fight for liberation and against oppression.
May his death never go in vain as we carry on to uphold the lessons his experiences and creations left.

The PUP Journalism Guild extends its warmest congratulations to Lourence Angelo Marcellana from BAJ 3-1N for participating in Decoding Beijing: Rappler and AidDataโs 2024 Data Journalism Camp.
The data journalism camp brought together 10 journalists and students to learn more about Chinaโs growing influence in development finance, launched by Rappler and AidData, an international development research lab, from November 26 to December 13, 2024.

๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฆ | The Polytechnic University of the Philippines - College of Communication in partnership with the Philippine Press Institute hosted the Jefferson Fellowship Forum which brought together 11 fellows from different countries to discuss marine disputes, geopolitical issues, and the current state of the Philippines. Three plenary speakers shared their insights, sparking discussions on global tensions and international relations on December 10, 2024.
The event also featured a question-and-answer session where journalism students engaged directly with the speakers, gaining a deeper understanding of the topics. This exchange featured the importance of open dialogue in addressing global challenges.
