MANILA, Philippines โ€” In a significant stride toward bridging the digital divide and fostering technological excellence, Atos Philippines, a global leader in AI-powered digital transformation, officially turned over a generous donation of IT assets to the University of the East Basic Education Department-Manila in a formal turnover ceremony on April 23, 2026, in UE Manila.

The donation, which includes essential computer hardware and peripherals, forms part of Atosโ€™s ongoing commitment to promoting digital literacy and supporting the next generation of Filipino learners. Congratulations in advance to the UE SHS Manila Grade 11 Academic Awardees.

This school yearโ€™s Senior High School Recognition Day will take place this Wednesday, May 13, 2026, 1 p.m., at the UE Theatre.

Set to inspire this school yearโ€™s Academic Awardees as Guest Speaker is a versatile and exemplary graduate of the UE SHS-Manila, Mr. John Coby Cabuhat.

Mr. Cabuhat , a Senior Research and Capacity Development Associate at the University of the Philippines - National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP NCPAG), had finished his Senior High School from UE Basic Education Department-Manila, under the Humanities and Social Sciences Strand. As proud alumnus of this institution, he graduated with High Honors in 2020 and served as the 3rd President of the Senior High School Central Student Council.

His commitment to service was evident early on. During his time at UE-Manila SHS, he pioneered impactful programs for fellow students like the Gawad Pagkilala sa Silangan and the first UE SHS Press Conference. A dedicated student-leader, he spearheaded relief missions and outreach drives such as Oplan Tabang Mindanao and Oplan Damayan for communities in need.

He recently earned his Bachelorโ€™s degree in Communication as a Summa Cum Laude graduate and was bestowed the Rizal Award for Exemplary Leadership for his roles as the student publication's chief editor and the student body's acting president. Today, he is a dedicated public servant and youth leader, working as a Senior Research and Capacity Development Associate at the UP National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP NCPAG). As the Policy Advocacy Director of GoodGovPH, his work has led to the adoption of good governance ordinances across various cities in the Philippines.

As we honor our Grade 11 academic awardees, we welcome a trailblazer whose journey from this very institution to the forefront of public service serves as a proof that when competence is guided by character, they are truly ready to lead the nation toward a better future.

Kudos and thank you, SHS Warrior Graduate John Coby Cabuhat!
