🌏 The DIS Hosts a Special Lecture on China–ASEAN Economic Relations 📈
On May 20, 2026, a hybrid lecture on “China–ASEAN Economic and Trade Relations” was held by the DIS, featuring Professor Su Qingyi, Senior Fellow and Head of the Department of International Trade, Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).
The session explored the evolving economic relationship between China and ASEAN, highlighting regional supply chains, manufacturing development, and opportunities for deeper cooperation amid shifting global dynamics.
As the global economic landscape continues to evolve, discussions like these remind our IS students that understanding China–ASEAN relations is not just academically relevant, it is essential to understanding the future of regional growth and economic cooperation on multiple levels.
