With this, United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) is celebrating World Architecture Day on the first Monday of October, alongside the United Nations’ World Habitat Day. This year’s theme, "Empowering the Next Generation in Participatory Urban Design," focuses on the vital role of emerging architects in creating sustainable cities.

All UAP chapters are welcome to showcase projects that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Also, all will have their entries connected to the UN SDG portal and receive a certificate of participation ✨

The theme this year emphasizes the remarkable journey of heritage structures as they evolve into vibrant, modern urban spaces. They seek compelling photographs that effectively narrate this story of transformation and renewal ✨

United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) has organized an event for WAD 2024 Architectural Design Competition: Temporary Learning Spaces in the Philippines on Oct. 7, 2024.

This is welcome for licensed architects, architecture students, and graduates to design innovative, accessible, and resilient temporary learning spaces. Your participation will help ensure educational continuity for many students and showcase the impact of architecture in disaster response.
