We are pleased to announce that the AMIC Timeline now includes events from 1971 to present.

The updated timeline features the AMIC Hymn, Voices of Asia, United We Rise,with lyrics and music by Dr. Marco M. Polo. Since it is a work in progress, additional historical entries,
along with photographs, are welcome. Be part of preserving and celebrating AMIC’s history.

AMIC appoints new representative for Kyrgyz Republic

Dr. Aizhana Dzhumalieva is the new AMIC Representative for the Kyrgyz Republic. She is the dean and associate professor of journalism and mass communication at the American University of Central Asia. She holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. She has been working as the curriculum director of “The Central Asian Journalism Summer Institute” (CAJSI) and program director of the Media Fellowship Program for students from Afghanistan. She is the author of the book Finding Hope in Kyrgyzstan: One Year of Taliban Rule in Afghanistan. culty Senate (2019), and the Dean of the Master of Arts in International Journalism Program (JMC) in 2018-2019 and from 2021 until the present day. She has been working as the curriculum director of “The Central Asian Journalism Summer Institute” (CAJSI) and program director of the Media Fellowship Program for students from Afghanistan. She is the author of the book Finding Hope in Kyrgyzstan: One Year of Taliban Rule in Afghanistan.
