The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) wishes to announce and congratulate the following passers of the Theoretical Examinations for Marine Deck and Engine Officers conducted at the MARINA Central Office, MARINA Regional Office VII (Cebu) and MARINA Regional Office XI (Davao) on 26 April 2023, Wednesday.

Out of 104 examinees, there were 96 passers with a passing rate of 92.31%

Of the 96 passers, 3 out of 3 examinees or 100.00% passed the Deck Operational Level Examination. For the Engine Management Level, there were 2 out of 3 examinees or 66.67% passed the exam while 5 passers out of 6 examinees or 83.33% for the Engine Operational Level. Further, there were 86 out of 90 examinees or 95.56% passed the GMDSS Radio Operators.

The said examinations were administered under MARINA Competency Assessment System (MCAS) Version 2.

Out of 50 examinees, there were 48 passers with a passing rate of 96.00%

Of the 48 passers, 1 out of 1 examinee or 100.00% passed the Deck Management Level Examination while 1 out 1 or 100.00% passed the Deck Operational Level Examination. For the Engine Management Level, there was 1 out 1 examinee or 100.00% passed the exam while 1 out of 1 examinee or 100.00% passed the Engine Operational Level. Further, there were 44 out of 46 examinees or 95.65% passed the GMDSS Radio Operators.

ADVISORY: Holy Week 2023 and Day of Valor

In observance of the Holy Week and Day of Valor, office transactions and assessment will be closed from Thursday to Monday, April 6 - 10, 2023.

Office and transactions will resume on April 11, 2023.

PUBLIC ADVISORY:

In observance of Holy Week 2023, the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) in Central and Regional Offices will be CLOSED from Thursday to Friday, 06-07 April 2023.

Furthermore, in view of the Presidential Proclamation No. 90, s. 2022, moving the Day of Valor from Sunday, 9 April 2023 to Monday, 10 April 2023, the MARINA will remain closed on the said date.

Meanwhile, the Office of the President issued Memorandum Circular No. 16, declaring suspension of work in the government offices tomorrow, 05 April 2023, starting 12:00 PM onwards

Concerned seafarers are also advised that from 6-10 April 2023, the MISMO will undergo system maintenance and will not be able to accept new applications. You may still access your accounts and view your digital certificates as needed.

Hence, regular operations and services being offered by the MARINA offices will resume on Tuesday, 11 April 2023.
