A tribute to all MOTHERS! (This is the original tagalog version I posted 10 years ago)

ANG MANGGA!

ang pinaka-paborito kong prutas ay ang hinog na mangga :) noong bata pa kami my father was working in dubai. kaya ang nasa bahay lang is me, my kuya and our mother....

uso samin ang pagtitipid, by 5 years old i noticed something...

laging isang pirasong mangga lang kinukuha ni mommy na hahatiin nya sa tatlo. yung unang pisgi sa kuya ko, yung pangalawa sa akin at ang buto sa momy ko....

akala ko tuloy buto ng mangga ang pinaka masarap because my mother always get the privileged of enjoying it... kaya hinihingi ko ang buto! pero hndi pumapayag si momy at napapagalitan pa ako...

kaya pinangarap kong matikman ang buto ng mangga. my desire to taste it lasted til i was seven years old. when i was finally allowed to eat the whole mango fruit, hinati ko sa tatlo ang mangga at una kong kinain ang buto!

then to my surprise, ang nipis pala ng buto. wala na halos laman and worst of all ang kati sa lalamunan at nagkanda ubo ako ng todo... kaya pala ayaw ni momy ibigay sakin... at nakita ko din kung paano sya nag tyaga sa payat na buto ng mangga so my brother and I could enjoy the fleshy and delicious part.

kaya nung 7 yrs old ako naiintindihan ko agad ang kahulugan ng sakripisyo, pagbibigay at pag una sa kapakanan ng iba bago ang iyong sarili.... mula sa simpleng mangga nakita ko ang pagmamahal ng magulang sa kanyang anak.

indeed charity begins at home. it began in our home through my mother and father...

kaya sa tingin ko malaking kalokohan na mabait ka sa syota mo eh walanghiya ka naman sa mga magulang mo.... kabobohan na mabait ka sa barkada mo pero suwail ka naman sa mga magulang mo.... kaya puro kamalasan ang nangyayari sayo kc SUNOD SA DYOS ang inutos ng Panginoon na igalang eh ang ating mga magulang....

Bar Exams and Board Exams are mere measurement of the READINESS of the graduates to PRACTICE their respective PROFESSIONS as means to ensure public safety!

It DOES NOT in anyway DETERMINE the EXPERTISE OF THE PASSER ON THAT FIELD!

Your performance on that "one exam" reflects only your readiness on that exam! this examinations ARE NEVER CONCLUSIVE to predict the course of your professional career!

National Licensure Examinations can only measure limited but strategic aspect of COGNITIVE LEARNING.

National Licensure Examination CANNOT measure AFFECTIVE (Attitude) and PSYCHOMOTOR (Skills) Learning because this requires AUTHENTIC and ACTUAL PERFORMANCE in the REAL WORLD and NEVER CONFINED to paper and pencil test!

Topnotchers, 1st takers, retakers (2nd take), repeaters (3rd and above) once they passed, will all get the SAME license, SAME opportunities, SAME compensation, SAME points in ranking and SAME appendage to your name!

Did you see any topnotchers who after topping the exam, immidiately became the academic, professional and moral authority of their field?

NO! NONE! NOTHING! because all passers be it Topnotchers, 1st takers, retakers (2nd take), repeaters (3rd and above) and regardless of the board or bar rating are BEGINNERS!

Passing the licensure exam regardless of the times you took it DOES NOT MAKE YOU AN EXPERT! it only gives you the license to practice the profession!

Now, it's what you do after passing that matters the most! how you will use your lincense to serve the public you oath to protect is the most important!

To look down on others by mere reason of the numbers they took the board exam or their board and bar exam rating is DELUSIONAL!

To believe that you are better than others because of your board or bar rating is nothing but HALLUCINATION!

if you want to be better than others, try to achieve in the 3 main areas of learning!
A. Cognitive: Finish your MASTERS and DOCTORAL DEGREES!
B. Psychomotor: Write and Publish Books and Research!
C. Affective: Characterize your Professional Oath of INTEGRITY, HUMILITY and PUBLIC SERVICE as your way of Life!
