March 4 - Editions: Printmaking Workshop
BDS Grade 9 students learned the art of printmaking for their Visual Arts class in collaboration with SACP.
April 11 - Incendium: BSIEMC Game Exhibit
The students had fun interacting with game developers and playing games during the exhibit. There was a wide array that ranges from just entertainment to educational games, including an FSL instructional game. Some of them were inspired and hope to take up IT or a similar course in the future.
April 05 & 12 - Editions 2.0: Printmaking Workshop
Due to popular demand, SACP once again collaborated with BDS to give a printmaking workshop to the students from other grade levels who were not able to attend the previous one. The students learned a new medium of art expression and were delighted with their own works from the workshop.

Understanding pivotal historical events like the EDSA People Power is essential for shaping our future. They illuminate our shared journey, highlighting lessons we've learned along the way: resilience in the face of repression, the fight for freedom and democracy, a reminder of the crimes of oppression and torture, and the inherent injustice of it all.
May we NEVER FORGET.

About Benilde Deaf School
This August 2018, as part of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde’s (DLS-CSB) advocacy for diversity and inclusivity, the College will formally open the “Benilde Deaf School,” a high school solely dedicated for Deaf students, with a pioneer batch of 15 Grade 7 students.
Benilde Deaf School will use Filipino Sign Language (FSL) and written English as a medium of instruction. Aside from the regular high school content areas, deaf studies and FSL subjects will be offered and will be taught by the College’s School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS) teachers, who have been Benilde’s torchbearers in learner-centered Deaf education.
In an exclusive interview with The Benildean, Ms. May Cabutihan, head of Secondary Education Initiatives of the Center for Education Access and Development (CEAD), an office under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academics, which develops new grounds and initiatives that will ensure Deaf people to have access to the Lasallian education of their choice, the incoming batch would temporarily be situated at the Solomon Guest House on Ayala and Arellano Street near the Angelo King International Center (AKIC) for Academic Year 2018-2019. Hence, to meet the minimum standards for a conducive learning environment, necessary renovations are expected to be carried this month until before classes start on August.
Hopefully, Cabutihan added, by the next year or two, a building would finally be available to house the Benilde Deaf School and include future plans that shall soon gradually encompass Grades 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
