Pierre Tritz Institute-ERDA Tech (ERDA Tech Foundation Inc.), was founded in 1994 by Fr. Pierre T. Tritz, SJ, a French-Jesuit Missionary, turned Filipino citizen, as a high school designed for underprivileged youth in response to the worsening problem of poverty and unemployment in the Philippines. From its beginnings, the school has offered an innovative 5-year formal education and technical-vo

cational program where students specialize in either Automotive Servicing, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Machining, and Food Trades beginning in third year (Grade 9). This is reinforced by a 5-month In-Plant Training in a company partner’s workplace under the Dual Training System. In view of the reforms being undertaken in our basic education system, the school is on transition towards being K-12 compliant and will become a full-fledged, stand-alone Senior High School, offering the Tech-Voc track beginning SY 2016-2017.

It is with mixed feelings of relief and sadness, gratitude and nostalgia that ERDA Tech Foundation Inc. officially turned over today, April 28, the leased Pandacan property to the Philippine National Bank (PNB).

We express our gratitude to PNB for the preferential treatment shown to ETFI , allowing us the opportunity to provide free education and training to the underserved children and youth of Pandacan and environs for more than 25 years.

On behalf of the ETFI community and administration, we thank the Philippine National Bank for your generosity.
