π POSITIVE DISCIPLINE: HOW TO GIVE CHILDREN USING MOBILE PHONE? π
Your kids want a cell phone to contact friends, take pictures, text, relax, play games and surf the Internet. You want your children to use cell phones because of concern for their safety and to communicate when needed. Or maybe you're afraid they'll annoy you if you refuse to let them use the phone. Or worse, you worry that your child is worse than you. This situation is out of control. Youβre living in a technology-laden world where kids will probably be more adaptable, but you still want to give them some guidance.
Hint:
1. If you don't want your child to use a cell phone, say no! Give information about how and when your child can use a cell phone.
2. If you decide to buy your child a cellphone, limit their monthly bill payments.
3. If kids spend too much money, buy a prepaid plan will automatically turn off except emergency calls after they run out of money.
Planning to prevent problems from occurring
1. Make sure your kids have how many minutes per month, check how many minutes they have used and what happens if they breach the agreement.
2. Let your children do their own research and report to you on school regulations regarding cell phones while discussing them with them.
3. Don't let your kids talk on the phone while driving.
4. Discussing with my kids about cell phone culture and the importance of switching off phones in public places... Explain why using the phone while talking to someone is rude.
5. Talking to kids about handling bullies and telemarketers.
