Why are you paying ₱10,000 for an expired SIRB and SID?
This is not a simple fee,it is a penalty under MARINA Memorandum Circular No. MD-2024-01, dated March 10, 2024, and signed by Administrator Sonia B. Malaluan. The circular is addressed to all seafarers, port state control authorities, shipping companies, manning agencies, and all concerned entities. It states that any seafarer found serving onboard with an expired SIRB/SRB and/or SID may face a ₱10,000 penalty and possible non-employment until compliance.

The 2026 forums are critical because they address urgent industry shifts like the green transition, digitalization, and heightened geopolitical risks affecting seafarers. Participants are from Manning agencies, Training center ,Government, Maritime Media and Seafarers.
