UP Manila Welcome Ceremony for First-Year Students 2026

🌱 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍 🌱
𝘗𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦. 𝘙𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵. 𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥.

As the new academic year begins, 𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗛𝗔𝗪𝗔, together with the 𝗣𝗚𝗛 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆, created a space for our student nurses to pause and look inward through a meaningful mental health, reflection, and well-being session.

Held on August 13, the session brought together 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮, 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗴𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗮 for an opportunity to reflect on their experiences, acknowledge their emotions, and remind themselves that they are more than their grades, their mistakes, or the challenges they face.

Here are some moments from the '𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬' project of the GINHAWA: UPCN Mental Health Promotion Program, serving a reminder that sometimes, moving forward begins by taking a moment to care for what is within.

🌏 The GINHAWA UPCN Mental Health Promotion Program contributes to the following Sustainable Development Goals:
𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟑 – 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠: Promotes mental health awareness and strengthens support systems for UPCN students through dialogue, referral pathways, and mental health promotion initiatives.

𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟒 – 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Fosters a supportive and responsive academic environment that prioritizes student wellbeing, enabling nursing students to thrive holistically in a rigorous learning setting.

𝐒𝐃𝐆 𝟏𝟕 – 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬: Encourages collaboration among stakeholders, university offices, faculty, staff, and student representatives to develop coordinated and sustainable mental health programs and services.

Mula sa unang pagbati hanggang sa paglalayag sa bawat istasyon, opisyal nang nagsimula ang bagong akademikong taon para sa Batch Sinagtala! ✨

Sa pamamagitan ng 𝗦𝗜𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗔: 𝗨𝗣𝗖𝗡 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 at 𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗚: 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗴𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝘆, nagtipon ang ating mga bagong mag-aaral sa Undergraduate at Graduate Programs upang makilala ang komunidad na kanilang magiging tahanan, makibahagi sa mga bagong karanasan, at sama-samang tumuklas sa mga daang tatahakin bilang Iskonars.

The UP College of Nursing invites eligible BS Nursing faculty to apply for the CHED-HUSAY-supported training course: 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗨𝗖 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗦 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴

This blended program will help BSN faculty design, facilitate, and evaluate safe, evidence-informed, and context-appropriate simulation-based learning experiences for nursing education.

✅ Fully funded through CHED-HUSAY
Coverage includes online course access, training materials, simulation resources, use of onsite facilities/equipment, and meals during onsite training. Note: Transportation and accommodation are not included.

Eligible applicants include BS Nursing faculty with at least 1 year of teaching and clinical experience, especially those involved in skills laboratory, clinical/RLE instruction, and simulation-related teaching. A nomination letter from the Dean is required. SUC applicants are prioritized but 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗-𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗦𝗡 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱.
