Our Story
In 1962, Republic Institute was born. The husband and wife Mr. Leonardo Danieles Dieta, a retired soldier of the Philippine army Air Corps who
joined the USAFFE during World War II and his able wife, a teacher by profession decided to put up a school to cater the needs of parents who wish to enroll
their kids in school but could not be accepted in a public school around San Andres , Subdivision, Sta. Ana manila, now popularly known as San Andres, Bukid.
From a bunch of dedicated teachers who came from private school in San Andres Manila which after 1962 had phased out and other recruited
teachers who formed the teaching staff of the newly established school in 1962. Republic Institute, grew up to offer not only grade school but also secondary
education.
In its 2 consecutive year of existence, under strict supervision of the Bureau of Private Schools, The Republic Institute students were given the
government exam, to determine whether there is quality in its educational upbringing in school. 100% of our students passed all the exams due the elementary
grades in that year thorough scrutiny by the supervisors in the Bureau of Private Schools and observations were made to see whether the school met the
desired conditions affecting the instructions.After having verified that the school had compiled with all the requirements set by the Department of Education,
the then acting Director of Bureau of Private Schools JULIAN B. YBALLE had recommended the granting of GOVERNMENT RECOGNITION to the Secretary of
Education ALEJANDRO ROCES. On the 2nd day of October 1964, less than 3 years before the granting of recognition the GOVERNMENT RECOGNITION for
COMPLETE ELEMENTARY COURSE (day) was given at the City of Manila Philippines
In the years following the granting of Government Recognition for the elementary course in 1964, the Republic Institute had gained the respect of
the students, parents and other stake holders in education. And 2 years after the Bureau of Private Schools had verified that Republic Institute have successfully
met all requirments for a secondary education, on July 3, 1967, the then Acting Director of the Bureau of Private Schools NARCISO ALBARRACIN recommended
the granting of GOVERNMENT RECOGNITION for SECONDARY EDUCATION. And on May 12, 1967 after the thorough scrutiny by the Department, Carlos P.
Romula, the then Secretary of Education granted the GOVERNMENT RECOGNITION COMPLETE SECONDARY COURSE (day) under the 2-2 plan at the City of
Manila, Philippines
From its Infancy in 1962, REPUBLIC INSTITUTE had joined the pool of schools in Manila and gained respect of all schools in Manila and NCR both in
public and private where our students won in many contests both in academics and co-curricular and our school oficials were recgnized as pillars in private
education namely the Association of Private School Administrators of Manila (APSSAM) as President for 6 years, the manila Association of Private Elementary
School Administrators (MAPESA) as Treasurer for 4 years, the manila Association of Private Pre-School Administration (MAPPRESA) member of the Federation
of Private Schools Administrators NCR (FAPSA) as Vice President for Administration, the Philippine Associations of Private Schools, Colleges and Universities
(PAPSCU) as member, the Boy Scout of the Philippines as National Executive Board Member.
This year, the republic Institute Celebrates its 50th year with a theme: 50 years of Continuing Service to Quality Education with a mission of carrying
the vision of the founders, ready to meet the challenges of a True and Meaningful Quality Education for the masses of San Andres and a adjoining areas.
