The PNU Psychology and Counseling Society deeply mourns the passing of Dr. Tito C. Baclagan, a beloved Professor, Mentor, and Friend whose light touched the lives of so many.

Dr. Baclagan served as the Head of the Center for Transformative Education and Program Coordinator for the Psychology and Counseling Program, where his leadership, warmth, and unwavering positivity inspired both students and colleagues alike. More than his roles and titles, he was a pillar of the BS/MA Psychology and Counseling community—always charming, bubbly, and full of life, radiating kindness and encouragement wherever he went.

He was not only an educator but a true nurturer of minds and hearts, a mentor who listened, a friend who cared, and a guide who believed in the transformative power of compassion and connection. His legacy will forever live on in the lives he changed and the hearts he uplifted. 💛

Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers go out to his grieving family, friends, and the entire PNU community during this difficult time. 🕊️

According to PHIVOLCS, the earthquake was recorded at 9:43 am in the coastal area of Davao Oriental.

Faculty members of the Philippine Normal University (PNU) have released a position paper condemning systemic corruption in government and pressing for accountability in light of the recently exposed flood control scandal.

The PNU Faculty Union said corruption has robbed generations of dignity and opportunity, stressing that justice must reach not only low-level implementers but also high-ranking officials and contractors allegedly involved in irregularities.
