❗𝗔𝗡 𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦❗

We are seeking donations on behalf of our blockmate, Jezra Go, who is in need of financial assistance. Mr. Jose Roy Go, her father who is 64 years old, recently suffered a heart attack caused by a blood clot in his heart. Last March 14, he was rushed to the emergency room and still has ongoing testing procedures. Because of this, his body weakened and it led to serious complications including pneumonia, hernia, and kidney failure.

From the classrooms of COC to the newsrooms of ABS-CBN, BAJ - S1DLAK had step-foot in the halls of the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center once again to have their News Facility Tour guided by their ever-welcoming staffers who showed us around to different production areas. 🎥✍🏼

Driven by excitement, S1DLAK was thrilled to visit several production areas to observe and learn how live news segments are being produced. Behind the team of TV Patrol, one of the known news segments in the Philippine media, showed how the on and off camera crew work simultaneously to produce such a segment that delivers factual news to their audiences. 📺🎥

A mini talk was also organized with Jekki Pascual, Andrea Taguines, Job Manahan, and Ganiel Krishnan being the speakers to share their most insightful thoughts as ABS-CBN reporters and answer the field-related questions of the curious minds of S1DLAK . ✨

And to conclude the day, the TV Patrol production team had featured S1DLAK live on air to see the real-time work of on and off camera crew. 📽️🎞️

Indeed, field trips like this make the program more exciting. It also exposes and immerses us to the realities of being a media practitioner in the Philippines.

Today, March 8, we celebrate International Women’s Day to empower women and uplift young girls. This day reminds us that strength, character, and leadership goes beyond assigned gender roles. Women are more than capable of showing up and getting the job done, regardless of society’s double standards.

While International Women’s Day is celebrated every year to uphold women’s achievements, recognize challenges, and focus greater attention on women’s rights and gender equality, the act of respecting and recognizing women should be a daily occurrence. March 8 is International Women’s Day and fighting for women’s rights is everyday. ✊💜

This month of March, we celebrate every milestone, every movement, and every woman that paved the way in heels to make up the “her-story” that continues to be written today.

The campaign banner for this year’s National Women’s Month Celebration advocates for gender equality and an inclusive society, a reminder that National Women’s Month is for every woman—each one extraordinary, strong, and ambitious.

To define a woman, one would search beyond dictionaries and poetries, delving deeper into society and its complexities. Oftentimes as complex as an exceptional woman defining herself as “just a woman.”
