As part of the Freedom250 commemoration, American Corner Manila successfully hosted Freedom250: Shared Histories of Democracy, Power, and Exchange, bringing together participants for a meaningful conversation on the historical connections between the United States and the Philippines.

Through a comparative perspective, the discussion examined how democratic ideas and institutions have evolved across different historical contexts and how they have been interpreted, adapted, and shaped by local experiences. Participants reflected on the shared histories that continue to influence political institutions, civic life, national identities, and U.S.-Philippine relations today.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our speaker for sharing valuable insights and to everyone who joined the discussion, asked thoughtful questions, and contributed to a meaningful exchange of ideas. Your participation made the event a fitting celebration of dialogue, learning, and reflection in commemoration of America250.

Thank you for being part of this conversation. We look forward to seeing you at future programs at American Corner Manila.

Gaming continues to evolve, and so must our conversations about ethics and innovation.

Thank you to everyone who participated in eGames and Ethics: AI, Sports Tech, and the Future of Fair Play last 08 July 2026 at DLSU Laguna Campus. We hope the discussions inspire a future where technology and fair play go hand in hand.

Our sincere appreciation to Mr. Marlon Marcelo, Executive Director of the Philippine Esports Organization (PeSO), for sharing his insights, and to Mr. Ryan Dimaunahan for expertly moderating the discussion.

This program was made possible through the collaboration of De La Salle University Libraries' The Learning Commons @ Laguna, American Spaces Philippines, U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, and DLSU INDIE, the University's pioneer Game Arts and Development Student Organization, in celebration of innovation, creativity, and ethical leadership in the gaming industry.
