𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | PRPMA Scouts Conducted a Community Outreach Program for Childrens and Families Affected by Recent Typhoons

The Boy Scouts of Pascual Rivera Pimentel Memorial Academy (PRPMA) conducted a community outreach program at 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨, 𝐒𝐭𝐚.𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐫 on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, to provide food and relief goods to childrens and families affected by the recent typhoons.

The activity aimed to support childrens and families who experienced difficulties brought by the typhoons. Through the feeding program, sharing of relief goods, and simple games, the PRPMA Scouts provided assistance and support while extending 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆, 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 to the affected individuals. The program was made possible through the cooperation and dedication of the PRPMA Scouts, school personnel, and other individuals who helped organize and make the activity possible. Their collective efforts contributed to making the program meaningful for the children and the community. More than providing food and goods, the program highlighted the value of 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒎, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆. The PRPMA Scouts demonstrated that young people can contribute to helping others, especially during challenging times.

𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙎 | PEAC E-RECERTIFICATION

𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖 𝙋𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙡 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙮(𝙋𝙍𝙋𝙈𝘼) successfully concluded its E-Recertification process with the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) on August 13, 2026, as part of its continuing participation in the Educational Service Contracting (ESC) Program.

The E-Recertification process serves as an important evaluation of the school's compliance with the standards and requirements set by PEAC. It also reflects PRPMA's continuing commitment to upholding quality education and providing meaningful learning opportunities for its students.

The completion of the process was made possible through the collective efforts and cooperation of the school administration, faculty and staff, students, parents, partner institutions, and community linkages. Their support, participation, and collaboration contributed significantly to the preparation and fulfillment of the requirements throughout the recertification process.

With the E-Recertification successfully concluded, PRPMA now awaits the official results of the evaluation. The school remains hopeful for a favorable outcome that will allow it to continue its participation in the ESC Program and sustain its commitment to accessible and quality education.

PRPMA extends its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to this important undertaking. The successful completion of the process stands as a testament to the strength of a school community united by collaboration, dedication, and a shared commitment to excellence.

As we await the official results, may this milestone serve as a reminder of what can be achieved when the entire PRPMA community works together toward a common goal, providing quality education and building a better future for every learner.

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖 | PEAC E-Recertification
August 13, 2026

The visiting team, led by PEAC regional officers are reviewing PRPMA’s institutional documents, classroom instruction practices, student records, and governance policies as of August 13, 2026. School administrators are showcasing improvements made since the last certification, emphasizing efforts in curriculum alignment, professional development, and student support services.

E-Recertification helps ensure private schools meet minimum standards so that learners can access public assistance and quality education. Teachers and student leaders were given an opportunity to report on recent school programs such as literacy, science fairs, and community projects that demonstrate PRPMA’s holistic approach to student development.

The PEAC E-Recertification outcome will be released after the assessment team completes its documentation and forwards its recommendations to the PEAC Secretariat. If successful, PRPMA will retain its certified status and remain eligible for PEAC-managed assistance and scholarship programs.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur — Classes Suspended Due to Continuous Rainfall
August 5, 2026

Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur — Classes at all levels in both public and private schools were suspended on August 6, 2026 (Thursday) due to the continuous rainfall affecting Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur. The announcement was made by the Local Government Unit(LGU) as a safety measure for everyone in the community.

The suspension aims to protect students, teachers, and school personnel from the possible risks brought by the bad weather. With the continuous rains, concerns such as flooding, slippery roads, and unsafe travel conditions became the main reason for the immediate class suspension.

Students of Pascual Rivera Pimentel Memorial Academy are advised to stay dry and safe, avoid unnecessary travel, and remain indoors whenever possible. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to keep monitoring official updates from the LGU and the school for further announcements.

As the weather continues to be observed, everyone is reminded to stay cautious and follow safety advisories from local authorities until conditions improve.

proyektong pinangungunahan ng estados unidos, na naglalalyong magtayo ng 4,000-acre na sentro ng advanced manufacturing at artificial intelligence sa New Clark City, Tarlac. Tinuturing itong malaking opurtunidad kung Saan inaasahang makakapagbigay ito ng trabaho sa mga libo-libong mamamayang pilipino, Makakaakit ng mga dayuhan, at makakapagpalakas ng ekonomiya ng Bansa.

Ngunit kasabay ng malaking opurtunidad at kaunlaran, ay ang pagtutol ng mga lokal, mga katutubo at mga grupong pangkalikasan. Sa kanilang pananaw, maaari itong magdulot ng pagkasira ng kalikasan, paglabag sa mga katutubong naninirahan sa lugar, at pagkawala ng kabuhayan. Ang tanong ngayun ay masasabi ba nating maganda itong opurtunidad kung ang kapakanan ng kalikasan at mga mamamayan ang nakasalalay dito.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | PRPMA Faculty Participate in Mental Health Session Led by ISPSC Psychology Instructor

Pascual Rivera Pimentel Memorial Academy in line with its commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, the faculty of Pascual Rivera Pimentel Memorial Academy participated in a mental health session facilitated by Ma'am Geraldine Reyes, an instructor from the Psychology Department of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC)–Tagudin Campus.

The session centered on enhancing educators' understanding of mental health and their role in supporting students who may be experiencing psychological or emotional challenges. Ma'am Reyes shared valuable insights on recognizing possible signs and symptoms of mental health concerns among learners and discussed appropriate approaches in responding with empathy, professionalism, and care while ensuring that students receive the necessary support and referrals when appropriate.

Recognizing also that the well-being of educators is equally essential, the discussion also highlighted the importance of safeguarding teachers' mental health. Participants were encouraged to practice self-care, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and seek support whenever necessary, emphasizing that emotionally healthy educators are better equipped to nurture and guide their students.

As part of the session, Ma'am Geraldine Reyes introduced Project Nadungo, an initiative of the ISPSC Tagudin Psychology Department that serves as a community pantry for students in need. The project provides in-kind donations, including essential hygiene items and other basic necessities, to support learners who may be experiencing financial difficulties. During the discussion, the initiative was presented as a meaningful program that could potentially be adopted at PRPMA to help address the needs of students and further strengthen the school's commitment to student welfare and holistic development.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | PRPMA Partners with ISPSC to Strengthen Mental Health Programs

Pascual Rivera Pimentel Memorial Academy (PRPMA) officially partnered with Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to strengthen mental health services for the school community.

The partnership will provide students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel with various mental health programs, including psycho-education sessions, counseling, consultations, and other activities that promote emotional well-being. These services will be facilitated by the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology Program, the BALLIGI Center, and the Guidance and Counseling Office of ISPSC–Tagudin Campus.

The MOA was signed by PRPMA Principal, Mr. Arsenio H. Hezeta Jr. and ISPSC President, Mario P. Obrero, alongside witnesses from both institutions. PRPMA attendees included SBO Adviser, Mr. Diomar Jake Viernes, Teacher Designate for Guidance, Ms. Saniata D. Dela Cruz, and Discipline Committee Chairman, Mr. Jakbean M. Ricarde.

The partnership highlights PRPMA’s continued efforts to support the mental health of its learners and employees by working with institutions that provide professional psychological services.

Through this collaboration, both schools hope to create a learning environment where members of the school community feel supported, understood, and empowered to take care of their mental well-being.
