PRPMA’s Festival of Talents Academic Competition unfolded as students demonstrated excellence across a range of disciplines, blending intellect, creativity, and performance.

The morning events featured declamation, quiz bee, poster making, and promotional video, highlighting students’ command of language, knowledge, visual artistry, and digital storytelling. Each contest reflected preparation, confidence, and the diverse strengths of the participants.

In the afternoon, the spotlight shifted to the singing contest, where voices filled the venue with energy and expression, adding a vibrant dimension to the day’s activities.

More than a series of competitions, the festival underscored PRPMA’s continuing commitment to cultivating talent, creativity, and academic distinction.

The day began with a Thanksgiving Mass, gathering the PRPMA community in prayer and gratitude as the academy marked the opening of its 79th Foundation Week, anchored on the theme:
“70 Years as One: Strengthening Educational Grandeur Towards Reaching 8 Decades of Academic Distinction.”

The celebration continued with a grand parade led by the PRPMA Marching Band, setting a festive tone as students, faculty, and community members came together for the official opening activities. The program balanced solemnity and celebration through prayers, the singing of the National Anthem, and the PRPMA Hymn, reflecting the institution’s enduring values of unity and pride.

School Principal Mr. Arsenio H. Hezeta Jr. led the formal opening rites, underscoring the significance of the occasion as the academy continues its journey toward another milestone year.

Highlights of the opening program included the presentation of the candidates for Search for Mr. and Ms. PRPMA 2026 and PRPMA Pride Queens 2026, showcasing the confidence, leadership, and creativity of the student body.

The festivities were formally declared open through the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Foundation booths, signaling the start of various activities that celebrate the academy’s legacy and continued commitment to excellence.

After nearly a decade, the town of Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur proudly returns to the festival spotlight, bringing renewed energy, unity, and community pride. Sta. Cruz will once again take part in the Ilocos Sur Festival Street Dancing Competition, showcasing its beloved Tuna Empanada Festival through a vibrant cultural performance.

The presentation will highlight the town’s rich heritage, creativity, and the hardworking spirit of its people. Weeks of preparation and collaboration have brought together performers and supporters, all working toward a single goal, to represent Sta. Cruz with excellence and heart. More than a competition entry, this participation symbolizes togetherness and the town’s commitment to celebrating local identity. As Sta. Cruz marches forward with color, rhythm, and passion, it carries the hopes of its community onto the provincial stage.
