Sometimes we think “forgiving and forgetting” is about pretending nothing happened.
It isn’t.
Forgiveness is choosing not to carry the weight anymore.
Forgetting is allowing the memory to lose its power over us.
When we hold on to anger, resentment, or old wounds, we keep reliving the moment that hurt us. We pause our own life — replaying scenes that no longer deserve the spotlight.
Letting go doesn’t excuse what happened.
It frees us from being tied to it.
The fuller life we’re looking for often begins the moment we release what’s been holding our hearts hostage.
Here’s to lighter hearts, freer minds, and a life that finally moves forward.
