LOOKING FOR PROGRAMMING INTERNS! ๐ค๐พ๐ฉโ๐ป๐จโ๐ป
Expected Start: January 2026
Be a pioneer in Philippine Game Engine Development! ๐ฎ DLSU GAME Lab is looking for programming interns interested in joining the innovative research project of DLSU GAME Lab to work on "Project Anito," aiming to provide a framework and in-house game engine for the PH gaming industry.
Funded by DOST-PCIEERD, titled "Support for the PH Gaming Industry Towards Embracing In-house Game Engine Development", we aim to provide support for the PH gaming industry in assisting them towards creating their own tech stack, game engine, scene editors, and the like. The members of this project will be spearheading the development of the foundational tools typically used for game development, such as a game library, framework, 3D editor, or game engine.
If you're passionate about innovation and empowering local game developers, we want you! This is open to DLSU CCS students looking for internship positions within DLSU. See details in our photos!

Big steps for the future of Filipino game development! ๐ฎ We're excited to share a look at the custom, in-house game engines actively being developed as part of Project Anito!
From advanced real-time rendering and graphics to practical simulators ๐ฅ, our team is building the core technology that will empower the Philippine gaming industry.
But we're not just about code and graphics! Project Anito brings together an incredible team from the Department of Software Technology ๐ป, Literature ๐, and Communication ๐ฃ๏ธโexperts in computer science, game engines, HCI, cultural studies, game narratives, and creative writingโto ensure our engine development is grounded and contextualized to the needs of game developers.
We recently held our 1st quarter project alignment. Attendees included: Dr. Neil Patrick Del Gallego (project leader), Dr. Jose Kervin Calabias, Mr. Jordan Deja, Mr. Terrence Esguerra, and Mr. Robin Sebolino, along with project staff Myla Julliene Dacanay and John Raymond Cala.

๐ฅ๏ธ Is Operating Systems still relevant in todayโs AI-driven world?
If you're asking this, you're not alone โ and you're exactly who needs to hear this talk.
๐ At , join Dr. Neil Patrick Del Gallego, Associate Professor and Chair at De La Salle University, as he shares how he made the OS course matter again, with real impact for the Philippine software industry.
๐ค โMaking an Operating Systems Undergraduate Course More Relevant to the PH Software Industryโ
Instead of teaching OS concepts in isolation, his course challenges students to build a working OS emulator, using C++ and grounded in real commands like vmstat, nvidia-smi, and free.
In this session, youโll learn:
๐ง How classic OS theory connects to modern dev skills
โ๏ธ Project specs that bring OS to life in the classroom
๐ How this approach prepares students for careers in systems programming, embedded dev, and beyond
Whether you're in academia, tech leadership, or talent development, this session offers a roadmap for future-proofing CS education.
