There are people in Australia, like Dodgy Dave, who are unlawfully charging for immigration advice and exploiting vulnerable visa applicants.

If that’s you – we’re onto you.

We are taking strong action. We recently removed a non-citizen who scammed international students and lodged fraudulent visa applications. They now face bans on returning to Australia.

If you give paid immigration advice without being a registered migration agent or an Australian legal practitioner, you’re committing a serious offence. Non-citizens can face visa cancellation, detention and removal.

If you’re doing the wrong thing, stop now – or expect consequences.

New Australian Visa Fees Effective 1 July 2026!

The Australian Department of Home Affairs has officially implemented its newest Visa Application Charge (VAC) updates. If you are planning to study, work, or migrate to Australia, here is exactly what you need to budget for your application starting today.

Save this post or tag a friend who needs to see this! 👇

📚 A. STUDY VISAS

Student Visa (Subclass 500): $2,500 (Standard) | $2,050 (ASEAN / ELICOS)
Student Guardian (Subclass 590): $2,500
Temporary Graduate (Subclass 485): $5,750

💼 B. EMPLOYER-SPONSORED / WORK

Skills in Demand (Subclass 482): $4,015
👉 Note: The new minimum salary threshold (TSMIT) has also risen to $79,423/year!

Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186): $6,140

🗺️ C. GENERAL SKILLED MIGRATION (GSM)

Skilled Independent (Subclass 189): $6,135
Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190): ~$6,140
Skilled Work Regional (Subclass 491): ~$6,140

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 D. PARTNER & FAMILY VISAS

Partner Onshore/Offshore (Subclass 820/801/309/100): ~$11,710
Child Visas (Subclass 101/802): $4,040
Contributory Parent (Subclass 143/173): Varies by stream

⚠️ What this means for you:

Plan Ahead: These base fees apply to the primary applicant only. Dependent family members will incur additional secondary charges.

Check Concessions: Regional passport holders (such as Pacific Island nations) and specific ELICOS students may qualify for tiered lower pricing on select subclasses.

Ensure Decision-Readiness: Avoid steep reprocessing costs by ensuring your application is 100% complete and fully compliant before hitting submit.

📞 Confused about the new pathways or thresholds?

Don't navigate the changes alone. Reach out to the team at Edutrust International Services to map out your migration strategy smoothly.

It’s that simple.

If you’re charging people for immigration assistance in Australia without being a registered migration agent or an Australian legal practitioner, you are committing a serious criminal offence.

The penalties are severe. You could face up to 10 years’ imprisonment and significant financial penalties. And if you’re also a non-citizen, you risk detention and removal from Australia.

We are actively tracking visa applications and targeting people who facilitate visa fraud, including submitting false or non-genuine Protection visa applications.

Don’t risk your future by giving illegal immigration advice.

Anyone with information about individuals or businesses facilitating immigration fraud is encouraged to make a report online to Border Watch: https://www.borderwatch.gov.au
