CONGRATULATIONS!

Second-year Political Science students Naomie Tariman, Deden Bello, and Jhianne Reyes played significant roles in the annual University Model Congress (UMC), the flagship legislative simulation program of FPJ Youth. This initiative empowers Filipino students through experiential learning in governance, policymaking, and democratic leadership. Ms. Tariman was selected as Secretary-General, while Mr. Bello and Ms. Reyes served on the Delegation Committee.

By gathering delegates from higher education institutions across the country, the University Model Congress aims to cultivate a new generation of principled, competent, and service-oriented young leaders. The program provides participants with direct exposure to the legislative process and public service.

Twenty-four delegates from across the Philippines were welcomed and inaugurated on August 12, 2026, at the House of Representatives. The inauguration coincided with the celebration of International Youth Day.

Staff members of the House of Representatives facilitated the inauguration and provided delegates with a tour of the Congress Museum.

The Political Science Department extends its congratulations to Mr. Lloyd Medina for presenting his paper, “Faith-Based Environmental Stewardship for Urban Sustainability in Muntinlupa City,” at the 2nd CHARTS Philippines International Conference on Sustainable Development, held from August 6 to 8, 2026, at the Bohol Island State University Main Campus College of Arts and Sciences.

✨ TATAK TAMARAW 2026 UPDATE ✨

The faculty members and the FEU Political Science Society held a Tatak Tamaraw Plenary and Program Orientation for their PolSay Freshies.

FEU Political Science Program Chair Dr. Mario Maranan and faculty members Mr. Melquiades Acomular, Mr. Lloyd Christian Medina, and Mr. Francisco Riodique shared insights on the BA Political Science program, career opportunities, and the content of the curriculum.

The faculty members of the FEU Department of Political Science conducted a Semestral Planning for the 1st Semester of Academic Year 2026-2027.

The departmental planning also included the officers of the FEU Political Science Society to recognize the raised concerns and collective recommendations of the FEU Political Science students.
