Yay! We're finally done with the topics about unpacking the self.

How are you doing lately? Did you get to explore or to know more things about yourself?

Let's have a recap of the topics we talked about, shall we?

✨ Physical Self
Listen to yourself, follow what your heart truly desires. Don't let the norms and standards of society define you. You are the one who knows yourself better. Also, it reminds us that we have to accept and love ourselves first before others because everything always starts with us. Building one's confidence and self-esteem is a step-by-step process, so don't rush and take your time. Once you're ready to show the world who you are, flaunt it, love!

✨ Sexual Self
Sexual-related topics are always been taboo here in the Philippines. It is always viewed as 'Bastos' even though it's not. That resulted in why people here in the Philippines are not knowledgeable about sexual activities or behavior. Because of this, the population in our country is continuously rising, and that's the consequence of not being sexually educated. Sexual self reminds us that we have to be aware and educated to know how we will act in such circumstances.

✨ Material Self
In this material world where we live, the material self reminds us that it's very unhealthy if we can only find happiness from spending money. Everything that's is excessive is bad for us. May we try to live in contentment to achieve true happiness.

✨ Spiritual Self
Everyone has their own beliefs and they also have different ways of expressing their spiritual self. This topic tells us that we may have differences in expressing, we still share a common reason and that is to find the meaning and purpose of our life.

✨ Political Self
Everything in this world is political, that's why our political self plays a big role in how we present ourselves. It's important to be aware of the issues your country is facing, in that way you can contribute to the country by helping or being the voice to those who are oppressed.

✨ Digital Self
The digital world has a very wide perspective, it can be a safe place for some but it can be also toxic for others. As of now, our only way to have a social interaction is through digital or social media. May we remember to be always cautious about what we share or what we access on the internet so it could be a safe place for everyone. The way we express ourselves through digital is very different from personal. This reminds us not that we should not believe and be affected by what we see on the internet.

It's not that easy to find if what is our purpose in life, it's really a life-long process. We hope that our page helped you to follow your own North Star, to achieve the true happiness that we deserve. 💖

Social distancing doesn't only apply when you're in public. Social distancing is needed on social media too.

Unfriend, unfollow, or block those people who are not bringing you into a good state. It's also one of the steps to having social media detox. If someone blocks you unfriends you, respect that because there are times that we don't know that we are the one who brings toxicity in their feeds. Maybe use that as a sign in order to improve yourself for the better.

The likes you receive in your social media accounts, the comments that people say in your photos, and the shares you gain from it won't truly define who you really are. Social media life is just an escape from reality and not everything we see there is 100 percent true.

So friend, don't be sad if you only have a few likes on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. What matters most is the people that love you for who you truly are outside the cyberworld.

Have you tried or heard of social media detox? It is where people eliminate or stop their daily usage of social media. Right now, we almost spent our lives scrolling on our phones 24/7 and it always affects our mental health and also makes us less productive. So why don't we try social media detox to reassess ourselves or our priorities in life?

Here are the benefits of social media detox!

1. Boosts your mental health
- There are posts from the internet that really makes us feel drained and anxious. Staying away from social media gives you more time for yourself.

2. It increases your productivity
- Scrolling through social media really wastes our time and also the reason why we procrastinate. But you will be amazed at how many things you can do in a day if you are on social media break.

3. Helps you to improve your sleep
- You can't deny the fact that the reason you always sleep late is that you are always on your phone, especially before you go to bed. Radiation from phones is one of the reasons why there is difficulty in sleeping.

4. Gives time to appreciate yourself
- There are really times that you compare yourself to what you see on the internet and that's very unhealthy for one's self-esteem. So it's nice to take a break from social media to reassess and start learning to love and appreciate yourself. 💖

You may think it's hard to do this detox because we became so dependent on social media. You can start having this break gradually for 3 days then next 1 week, and so on.

You deserve a rest love!

We may clearly see everything about what's happening from our friends through social media. May we be happy with the achievements of others and stop comparing ourselves to them because always remember that we have different timelines, we have our own pace.

Constructive criticism helps people to grow for the better but we must always remember that there are limitations in everything. In the world of the internet, it's easy to speak hate to others because it's easy to hide behind anonymous or dummy accounts. This also adds that we must not always be affected and believe everything from the internet.

At this time the internet is our only way to communicate and express ourselves, may we never forget that there are certain things that don't have to be shared through the internet.

Everything in moderation.
