"You might as well realize that “temptation will chase after you the rest of your life.” Tap on God’s power. It’s available to you because you are His child and He has enabled you to be an overcomer. First, He promises never to allow any temptation to come into your life that’s beyond your ability to endure. Second, He promises to never leave and to never forsake you. Rejoice, for He causes you to triumph!"

The Question About The Resurrection Mk 12: 18-27
NOT GOD OF THE DEAD BUT OF THE LIVING.
The Sadducees accept and adhere to the strict interpretation of the written Torah. And since the Torah makes no reference to the resurrection, they do not believe in the resurrection. They present a problem that seems to make the resurrection ridiculous.
Jesus replies by pointing it out the Sadducees' misunderstanding about marriage. Marriage was instituted for the continuation of the human race. But in eternal life people no longer die. They live like angels, so that marital union is no longer neccessary. Moreover, Jesus clarifies, life after the resurrection is not a continuation of eartly life but a total change of state.
To meet the Sadducees on their turf, Jesus refers to the Book of Moses, where God identifies himself, "I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." God is God of three different generations, ancestors of moses, who remain alive in God.
The resurrection for us is the summit and goal of earthly life. With the hope of resurrection, we are ready to sacrifice and suffer for others, to do good and live right, to follow Jesus and fulfill his commandments. After our eartly life, there is eternal life. And it is life with God.
DO I LIVE MY EARTHLY LIFE IN VIEW OF ETERNAL LIFE?

Jesus Commissions His Disciples Mt 28: 16-20
First Reading : Dt 4:32-34, 39-40
Responsorial Psalm Ps. 33
"Blessed The People The Lord Has Chosen To Be His Own."
Second Reading: Rom 8: 14-17
IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
The Most Holy Trinity is the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They are the three Divine Persons. But they are not persons in "essence" as we understand from the philosophical viewpoint. They are but one true God. There is no "head and follower" or "first and last" or "superior and inferior." They are one, equal, and united. They manifest themselves through love.
God the Father, out of love, creates, gives life, and sustains. He provides and gives everything so we can live fully and fruitfully. But we rebelled, ran away, fell, and sinned. Our God is a merciful Father who desires only the good of his children. So out of his great love for us, the Father sends his only Son.
Jesus reveals to us the words and works of the Father. The Son communicates God's love for us so that we come to know God. We realize the Father's love for us through the preaching and healing of Jesus, especially through his supreme self-giving on the cross and his rising from death.
We know of the Father's lasting love with the coming of the Hioly Spirit. The empowering love of the Holy Spirit assures the continuing presence of the Father and of the saving work of Jesus in our lives. The Holy Spirit sanctifies and strengthens us. The Holy Spirit continues what Jesus did, encouraging us to remember and live the words and works of Jesus and the love of the Father and the Son.
In the Gospel, Jesus commands us to act in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Out of love, the Most Holy Trinity creates, saves, and sanctifies. Jesus sends us to proclaim that Trinitarian love to all nations.
"THREE PERSONS EQUAL IN MAJESTY,
UNDIVIDED IN SPLENDOR, YET ONE LORD, ONE GOD"
(Preface, Holy Trinity).
WHAT PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS HAS THE TRINITY FOR YOU?

Hundredfold Reward Mk 10: 28-31
A HUNDRED TIMES MORE.
After hearing Jesus say how hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God, Peter asks what is in store for them who have followed him. Jesus assures them of a hundredfold reward. A hundred times or a hundredfold means a rich harvest, the fullness of God's blessing (cf Gn 26:12 and 2 Sm 24:3). God takes good care of God's own and cannot be outdone in generosity. God returns a hundred times more what we have graciously given up for God.
God will bless us in this world, yes, but Jesus does not call us to earn material rewards. He calls us to receive the blessings of eternal life.
Along with the hundredfold, however, come persecutions. We see here Jesus' honesty. He does not promise a rose garden or an easy life. He tells his disciples that to follow him is a costly affair. We have to work for him, serve his flock, and fulfill the demands of the gospel. We have to live his life and tread his footsteps. His mention of persecutions reminds us that we stand and strive beneath the shadow of his cross. This means that there will be no eternal reward without carrying his cross and without sharing in his suffering. As we join Jesus in his passion, so will we share in his glory.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO GIVE UP
SO THAT YOU CAN FOLLOW JESUS FAITHFULLY?
