LAST DANCE FOR DLSU-IS | January 20-24, 2025

INTER LA SALLE is held once every 3 years, hosted by the chosen Lasallian community; this year, it was hosted by the University of St. La Salle Bacolod. We have daily and nightly activities, such as playing football during the day and evening talks with special guests. On match day 1, we played our first game against De La Salle Lipa with a win, scoring 2-1. The game is a back-and-forth of pressing and counterattacks from both teams; the crowd could see the eagerness of both teams to score as they cheer for their team. On match day 2, we played against La Salle Academy Iligan and won by 1-0. The game was intense as we fought them because whoever won would play in the next dayโs finals. They were very physical and challenging simultaneously, pushing us more to do our best in the game; even though we did not have the same body built as them, we followed our coach's instructions and eventually secured the game's win. In our last Matchday 3, which was our finals against De La Salle Santiago Zobel, we were excited and feeling the adrenaline rush as we played them for finals; during the game, both teams were at a high-intensity level, giving their best to score early in the game, the pressure of the audience during that time fueled both teams to push more, but we end up to score first.
Our game ended with us winning the championship against them, scoring a 2-0 win. We were able to celebrate and live in the moment, as we saw all our efforts pay off in front of our eyes. On our last day in Bacolod, we had a friendly Match against the home team, USLS Bacolod. In my observation, most of the team members consist of young, talented players, and despite being small or thin, they do not give up quickly. Their persistence and dedication to the craft inspire me to continue my passion. Certainly, their never-give-up attitude will bring them to a bigger exposure that the future holds.
After this Bacolod trip with my friends and teammates, it is not just about making our friendship deeper or meeting other people from other Lasallian communities. Still, it shows camaraderie in everyone, sharing their skills and talent during INTER LA SALLE, having the time of our lives, and having fun together.
